HOME BUYER TAX CREDIT CREDIT AT GLANCE
The credit is for the first-time homebuyers only, meaning you have not owned a home as a primary residents in the last 3 years
The tax credit does not have to be re-paid, unless you sell the home in the first 3 yearsThe tax credit is equal to 10 percent of the home's purchase price up to a maximum of $8000
The credit is available for home purchase. Must be on contract by April 30th 2010 and close by June 30, 2010 to qualify
Single taxpayers with income up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to 150,000 qualify for the full tax credit.
